Obtaining tax information slips online

Recipients of certain types of government benefits, including Old Age Security, Canada Pension Plan, and Employment Insurance can obtain the tax information slips (T4A (OAS), T4A(P), T4E) needed to file their 2011 income tax returns from the Service Canada Web site.

In order to access and print off those forms, taxpayers will need to have a Service Canada account. Details on how to obtain such an account are outlined on the Service Canada Web site at http://www.servicecanada.gc.ca/eng/online/mysca.shtml, and detailed information on how to view and print tax information slips for 2011 can be found at http://www.servicecanada.gc.ca/eng/isp/common/tisoinfo.shtml?utm_source=CRA/ARC&utm_medium=Banner&utm_campaign=SC-Tax_Slips.

It is expected that tax information slips for 2011 should be available as early as February 1.
